What makes a facial clinical rather than relaxing
Three things: the assessment that comes first, the actives used, and whether anyone follows up. A spa facial applies a pleasant standard protocol to every face that walks in. A clinical facial starts from your barrier state, your pigment, your congestion, and your history, and the products are chosen after that, not before.
We work with compounded, prescription-grade actives and transdermal nutrition rather than retail lines, which is the practical reason our results differ from a treatment room down the road that is limited to whatever their product partner sells.
Which facial to book
The Signature Clinical Facial from $170 is where most people start and is customized at the table. The Detoxifying Facial at $170 targets congestion and dullness, and the Luminizing Facial at $170 targets tone and brightness. Dermaplaning can be added to any of them for $50.
If you are dealing with a diagnosed skin condition rather than general maintenance, the medical protocols are a different track at $225, and we will point you there instead of selling you the wrong facial.
Why we push the package instead of one-off bookings
Skin turns over roughly every four to six weeks. One facial gives you a good ten days. A cadence that matches your turnover cycle is what actually changes texture, tone, and congestion, which is why the 5x package at $700 exists and prices each facial at $140.
We do not sell packages before an assessment. Come in once, see whether the approach suits you, and buy the series afterward if it does.
Included with every protocol
- Clinical skin assessment before any product touches your face
- Compounded, prescription-grade actives rather than a retail line
- Transdermal nutrition and lymphatic support in every treatment
- A written home routine, whether or not you rebook
- Photo tracking across a series
- Honest redirection to a medical protocol if that is what you need
Single sessions and series pricing
Results here are cumulative, so a series is priced to reward the cadence that actually works. We never sell a series before your first assessment.

Every question below is one we've heard from patients who almost didn't book. Here are the honest answers.
How much is a facial near Grand Rapids?+
Our clinical facials start at $170 for 60 minutes. The 5-facial package is $700, which works out to $140 each, and dermaplaning can be added to any facial for $50.
Book a ServiceWhat is the difference between a clinical facial and a spa facial?+
A clinical facial starts with an assessment and uses compounded, prescription-grade actives chosen for your skin. A spa facial applies the same pleasant protocol to everyone. Both feel good; only one changes your skin.
Book a ServiceDo you offer HydraFacial?+
No. HydraFacial is a specific trademarked device protocol and we do not run it. Our approach is compounded actives and manual technique, which is a different method aimed at the same concerns.
Book a ServiceHow often should I get a clinical facial?+
Every four to six weeks, matching your skin's turnover cycle. That is the cadence the 5-facial package is designed around.
Book a ServiceHow far is Ada from Grand Rapids?+
About 15 to 20 minutes east. Fulton St E straight out of downtown, or I-96 to the East Beltline. Free parking directly outside the suite.
Book a ServiceWill this actually work if nothing else has?+
Honestly, that's the patient we see most. The reason over-the-counter products and one-size-fits-all prescriptions usually fail isn't you, it's the formulation. We're clinical skin experts, which means your protocol is built specifically for your skin's chemistry, barrier state, and trigger pattern. If after a full consultation we don't believe we can move the needle for you, we'll tell you that, and refer you somewhere that can.
Book a ServiceWhat if I can't afford it?+
We get it. Your first consultation is complimentary, so you can get a full clinical plan before you spend anything. Series packages reduce per-session pricing significantly, and we'll always show you the lowest-cost path that still gets results, even if that means starting with a single targeted product instead of a full protocol. No upsells, no surprise charges.
Book a ServiceHow is this different from a dermatologist or med spa?+
Dermatologists prescribe from a fixed formulary, same molecules, same strengths, for every patient. Med spas are run by aestheticians without prescribing rights. We sit in the middle: clinical, clinical-grade, and able to compound a formulation specifically for you. It's the level of customization neither model can offer on its own.
Book a ServiceWhat if I book and it's not the right fit?+
Your consultation is a clinical conversation, not a commitment. You leave with a written plan whether or not you book treatment. If we don't believe we're the right partner for your concern, we'll say so and point you toward someone who is. No pressure, no high-touch follow-up.
Book a ServiceHow long until I actually see something change?+
Most patients see measurable improvement within 4 to 6 weeks. Deeper structural changes (texture, tone, barrier resilience) typically appear over a 3-month series. We track progress with photos at every visit so you're not guessing, you can see exactly what's shifting and why.
Book a ServiceWhy should I trust a board-certified skin expert over a doctor's office?+
Clinical skin experts are the people doctors call when a stock prescription isn't working. We've spent years building the formulations a dermatology office hands you a sample of. Pairing that lab-side expertise with a clinical spa means your protocol and your treatment come from the same team, no broken handoff between prescriber and provider.
